The heather was aflame in hues of red
and orange. The weather was just right, no too hot, nor too cold. The
servants opened the hampers, unfolded tables and chairs, and began to
set up luncheon. Albert, Leslie, and I loaded our guns, as our gillies
Angus and his sons Donald Ban and Malcom began to beat the bushes. The
air, the excitement,... nothing is as exhiliarating as a picnic during
grouse season.
