The Return of Le Souper Intime

Created by King Louis XV of France for his many romantic interludes with his wife or his mistresses, the souper intime is one of the hallmarks of romance.  In the king's dining salon, the meal might be waiting for his guests, or the king himself might prepare the repast at the table. The coffee was always personally prepared by the king.

Today, you don't have to be a King, Queen or a member of the nobility to enjoy dining in the privacy of your home.  The intimate dining experience is now available to you from Chef Donald Daly and Distinctive Dining.  The day of a romantic interlude is a busy one for the person creating it, so why worry about the menu, shopping or cooking?  Let Chef Daly take on that burden. From menu design to meal preparation, he will bring everything to its conclusion just before your special guest arrives.  Then with last minute instructions, he discretely leaves.

 

Like good King Louis, you might like to prepare the dinner yourself. Chef Daly will once again design the menu, make the purchases, and prepare accompanying dishes.  The entrée and possibly the dessert will be yours to create.  The entrée items, (including table burners) will be laid out for you in the order that you need them, just like they do for television chefs.  At the right moment you can prepare the pièce de resistance for your guest.
